SENCO / PPA Teacher (1.5 days SENCo / 2 days PPA cover)
Start date: January 2026
Salary: Mainscale / Upper Pay Scale (depending on experience)
Working week: Monday - Thursday, term time only
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our primary school and play a key role in supporting the needs and progress of our pupils.

The Role:
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate provision for pupils with special educational, medical needs and disabilities. They will work closely with the senior leadership team, teachers, support staff, families, and external professionals to ensure all children thrive. This post will also include 2 days PPA teaching in classes throughout the school.
We are looking for someone who:
Is an experienced and qualified SENCO, or a teacher with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or equivalent).
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is highly organised and efficient, with strong administrative and time management abilities.
Has a compassionate and collaborative approach to supporting pupils and staff.
Is committed to maintaining our high standards of inclusion and achievement.
Is highly competent in all elements of the teaching standards.
Is committed to the TPP approach and understandsandsupports the emotional well-being of children.
Have a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice
Have the skills to support and train staff to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH as well as other needs including ASD and ADHD.
Have resilience and the ability to be able to work under pressure
Be willing to get involved in the wider school - run clubs, support PTA events etc.
