Learning Support Assistant
Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2026
Salary - Thurrock Band A, Point 1 to Point 6
£12,754.14 - £13,651.16 actual salary per annum
22 hours and 30 minutes per week
Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 1pm (including lunch duty)
38 weeks per year - term time plus inset days
Horndon-on-the-Hill Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to facilitate student learning in the classroom.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- The ability to communicate effectively while maintaining a calm and professional manner
- The ability to build strong professional relationships with the children and their families
- A willingness to take part in class planning and adapt it to the needs of the child where applicable
- Good organisational skills
- Good behaviour management skills
- Good basic English and Mathematics (GCSE 4-9 or equivalent preferable)
- The ability to communicate with parents and to attend professional meetings where required
- Good record keeping skills (Progress and medical where required)
- A passion for the impact teaching and learning can have on improving life
- A commitment to supporting the delivery of education to the highest standard
