Kitchen Porter
Required from 3 November 2025
25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time)
Salary: LGPS 1 point 2 - £14,141 per annum actual annual salary (£24,413 FTE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen in one of the country's leading selective schools, (awarded The Sunday Times Parent Power East Anglia State Secondary School of the Decade and The Sunday Times State Secondary School of the Year For Academic Excellence East Anglia 2025).
Our friendly and supportive Catering team are looking to appoint a Permanent Part-time Kitchen Porter. The role will involve cleaning the kitchen, washing up, loading the dishwasher and occasionally assisting the Catering team with basic food preparation.
The successful applicant will be motivated, reliable, hardworking and possess a positive attitude. We are looking for a good team player who can cope with a fast-paced, busy environment.
Experience of working in a kitchen, retail or cleaning environment is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided.
We offer a friendly, professional work environment with an experienced team and a contributory pension.
The working pattern is between 9.30am and 2.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only, including inset days, with additional hours for ad hoc events.
