Midday Assistant (MDA)

Salary: c.£4,193
Contract Type: Part-time, Term time only
Hours: 11:45am - 1:15pm 1.5 per day, Monday to Friday
Start Date: After October half term

About Us

Maylandsea Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive primary school where children are encouraged to achieve their best in a safe and supportive environment. We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our lunchtime team.

The Role
As a Midday Assistant, you will:

  • Supervise and support children during lunchtime, both in the dining hall and in the playground.
  • Help to organise games and activities to ensure pupils enjoy a happy, safe and active break time.
  • Promote positive behaviour and good manners.
  • Assist younger children with eating, tidying up and following routines.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable and enjoys working with children.
  • Reliable, punctual and a good team player.
  • Able to promote positive behaviour and encourage children's independence.
  • Committed to supporting the school's inclusive ethos.
