Higher Level Teaching Assistant or aspiring HLTA

Salary: HLTA 1 (£31,794) - HLTA 6 (£37,465) Pro- rota Term time

2 year fixed

Due to the expansion of our provision across two sites including a post 16 provision,
the Southend YMCA community school is seeking to add capacity and appoint a
HLTA or aspiring HLTA from October 2025.
We welcome applicants from teaching assistant with aspirations of becoming a
HLTA or a current HLTA to join our ever-growing team.
The school has a positive ethos and culture where our students have the
opportunity to experience success and be the best version of themselves. An ideal
candidate will have a commitment to Trauma Informed Practice and understand
the power of learning and education for our students. Staff are committed to
supporting our young people to achieve great things and ensure they 'come with a
past, but leave with a future'.
Experience in secondary school age students, particularly key stage 4, is an
advantage but is not essential.
