Job Title: Activity Leader - Breakfast club & After School Club
Location: Langham Primary School, School Road. Colchester, CO4 5PB
Operational Hours: Monday to Friday: 7.30am - 9am and 3pm - 6pm
Pay: up to £12.21 per hour
Contracts Available: Casual - 40 hrs per week during our holiday clubs if desired

Responsibilities:
Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more ensuring they are age-appropriate.
Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
Provide refreshments for the children.

Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more.
Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining our high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.

This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Information about the School
With 95 pupils on roll, we are a small school with big ambitions for our children. Every child is known by every member of staff, and behaviour is excellent.
The village of Langham is in the beautiful Dedham Vale area, just to the North East of Colchester and we are within easy reach of the A12. The school is part of a thriving cluster of small schools, with which we work closely to promote wider opportunities for our pupils and provide development for our staff.
We have four classes: Class 1(Reception and Year 1); Class 2 (Year 2); Class 3 (Years 3 & 4); Class 4 (Years 5 & 6)
