Graded as "outstanding", Shorefields School caters for 165 pupils with severe learning difficulties. We are seeking an SEN experienced class teacher, to start from 1st January 2026. (or earlier if available)
Experienced practitioners, Early Career Teachers, or Teachers transferring from mainstream school are welcome to apply, but must have SEN experience. Our priority is appointing someone with the right personality and appraoch and with the skills and attributes that will support effective work. We can help with the rest !
You will need a positive work ethic, be motivated, have a sense of humour and the desire and ability to learn fast.
This will initially be a fixed term contract for 1 year from 1st January 2026.

Information about the School
Shorefields School caters for the needs of pupils with a range of severe learning difficulties. We currently have 165 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. The school is located in the centre of Clacton-on-Sea close to the beach and shopping area. Our catchment area extends to the whole of the Tendring peninsula
