Partnership Provision SEMH Teaching Assistant Essex Pay Scale 3 point 5 -6. Pay is negotiable dependant on candidate's experience.
30 Hours per week 39 weeks per year plus holiday entitlement
Actual salary £17,783 - £18,065 plus fringe £506 depending upon experience
Ghyllgrove Primary School Partnership Provision for SEMH is a provision at the forefront of supporting young children with SEMH needs. We are seeking an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to work in our established highly specialist team. This is a highly regarded provision and would provide the candidate with invaluable experience.
The Arc is a Partnership Provision for young children who live in south Essex, whose academic progression in their current school is of concern due to barriers caused by behaviour, emotional needs or social difficulties.
The successful candidate will work with pupils who have a variety of complex needs, including behaviour, social and emotional difficulties and ASD. It is desirable that the successful candidate has the following:
· GCSE grade C or Level 2 equivalent in Maths and English
· Experience working with outside agencies/ excellent communication skills
· Experience developing social skills in young children
· Energetic and flexible approach whilst showing determination
· A positive approach to the role and behaviour management
· Experience of working with SEMH and ASD pupils
· Knowledge of EYFS and National Curriculum
· Hold a current driving license and have access to a car
