Catering Assistant - 15 hours per week (12-3pm) 38 weeks per year
Scale 2 Point 3-4 required ASAP
(Actual salary £8,405.95 - £5,537.82)
An opportunity has arisen at Great Dunmow Primary School for a Catering Assistant to join our school. The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a proactive and reliable member of staff to join our existing Catering Team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and enjoy working in a team. Your role will include preparation and simple cooking under instruction and serving the pupils, as well as washing up.
We are looking for someone who has:
¨ Level 2 Food Safety - not essential as training will be given
¨ Able to assist with the preparation of meals in accordance with our menus under the guidance of the Catering Manager
¨ Have allergen awareness - not essential as training will be given
¨ Be flexible and able to use own initiative as well as work as a team
You will be expected to:
¨ Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy at all times
¨ Serve lunch to the children
¨ Undertake training as required
¨ Work in collaboration with other colleagues
