Join Our Team at Bocking Primary School!
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1 to 1 SEND Learning Assistant to provide vital support to children with SEND, particularly those with complex learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils within a nurturing school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised 1 to 1 support to pupils with complex SEND, enabling them to access the curriculum.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the SEND coordinator to implement EHCPs.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with the development of pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience working with children with learning needs and SEND.
- Understanding of strategies to support pupils with a range of SEND.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualities:
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain flexible and responsive to changing pupil needs.
- A proactive approach to professional development.
Working Pattern & Renumeration:
- 19 Hours per Week
- Working Monday to Friday 9:00-13:05 (With a 15 minute unpaid break)
- 38 Weeks per Year
- Actual Salary £10,960
- Please note that as this post is linked to specific SEND funding, the contract may be withdrawn should the funding be withdrawn.
