We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistants. The role will involve working as part of a teaching team to support the learning, and social and emotional development of individual and groups of pupils with special educational needs. We are looking for people with empathy, understanding and a determination to provide children with the very best opportunity and access to learning across the curriculum. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to a child who has additional needs.
The post is for 16.25 hours per week, 12pm - 3.15pm, term time only and will include some supervision during lunchtimes.
The successful applicant should preferably have:
Experience of working in schools
Experience of children with additional needs / challenging behaviour
Good communication skills
A commitment to meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
An ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
Elsenham C. of E. Primary is a friendly, successful and growing school, situated in the village of Elsenham, close to the market town of Bishop's Stortford.
