Post: Registration AssistantandLearning Support Admin Assistant Combined Role
Hours: Registration Assistant:20 hours per week, 8:30-12:30, Monday to Friday
Learning Support Admin Assistant:10 hours per week, 13:00-15:00, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent contracts 39 weeks per year term time plus inset days
Salary: Registration Assistant (Scale 2 Point 3): £11,134.34 Pro-rata, based on £24,027 full time equivalent
Learning Support Admin Assistant (Scale 4 Point 7): £5,927.93 Pro-rata, based on £25,584 full time equivalent
Start date: 1st September 2025
Location: St James' Church of England Primary and Nursery School. Colchester
Our school has been serving the community for over 150 years, and we provide a caring and nurturing environment for all the children attending St James'.
The successful applicant will work within the school office and SENCO office at St James' Church of England Primary School and Nursery.
Knowledge of Arbor is preferred, but training will be provided to the successful applicant.
The successful candidate must:
· communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils
· work well as part of a team
· display a professional attitude
· have good organisational skills
· be able to use their own initiative
· remain calm under pressure
· have a sense of humour
· be committed to supporting the values and ethos of our Church school.
Experience of supporting attendance in a primary school setting and of handling Individual Education Plans/ECHPs would be an advantage
