St. Teresa's is a wonderful school where we focus on doing little things with great love. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to boost our learning support team from September.
We are keeping our options open and would welcome applications from any LSA, Nursery or EYFS practitioner who can bring something special to complement our team. Perhaps you have a passion for reading and literature, perhaps you're a computing whizz, perhaps you are a trained ELSA or have a strong SEMH or pastoral background. You may have a wealth of KS2 experience or your passion may lie with any or all of Nursery, Reception or KS1 classes. Perhaps your passion lies with SEND, or perhaps your special quality is versatility and you'd be great working across all phases and teams within our school.
Whichever phase brings out your best - we're looking for a special person to join our team and make a difference across our school community.
Curiosity lies at the heart of our curriculum so we're especially interested in team members who nurture children's natural sense of wonder, encourage exploration, and help spark a lifelong love of learning.
This is a permanent, term-time only role. The core hours are 8:30am to 3:15pm. There is also the opportunity to take on additional paid hours through our breakfast and after-school wraparound care (running from 7:30am to 6:00pm) and we are especially keen to hear from EYFS qualified candidates who are open to working these extended hours.
You might be the person we're looking for if you:
- Have a special quality, skill, qualification or passion that will enhance our school
- Have a Level 3-6 Early Years qualification or QTS (desirable but not essential)
- Have a highly inclusive and nurturing approach
- Are adaptable, proactive, and bring warmth, positivity and professionalism
- Embrace the Catholic ethos of our school and want to contribute to a loving, faith-filled environment
We can offer:
- A welcoming, values-driven school community with a strong sense of belonging
- Exemplary pupil behaviour and a culture of respect, care, and high expectations
- A committed, collaborative staff team with a focus on well-being and professional growth
- Additional earning potential through wraparound care roles
- The chance to play a key role in shaping and establishing our new nursery provision
- A culture that values curiosity, creativity and child-led learning
At St. Teresa's, we serve a beautifully diverse school community and actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. We welcome team members who reflect and celebrate the diversity of our pupils and families.
We are committed to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Following safer recruitment procedures an appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, medical checks and enhanced DBS clearance.
Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcome. For further details please contact the school office via e mail on personnel@st-teresas.essex.sch.uk
