Become a School Governor at Hare Street Primary School and Nursery
Are you passionate about education and keen to make a difference in your community?
Hare Street Primary School and Nursery is looking for volunteer co-opted governors to join our Governing Board.
You don't need any previous experience we're looking for people with enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn. We particularly welcome applications from individuals with skills or experience in areas such as:
Education
Human Resources (HR)
Marketing and Communications
Legal and Compliance
Finance and Budgeting
Healthcare and Safeguarding
IT and Digital Services
Project Management
Community Engagement
We are keen to reflect the diversity of our school community and encourage applications from a wide range of backgrounds.
As a governor, you'll help shape the school's strategic direction, support and challenge school leaders, and ensure every child receives the best possible education. It's a rewarding role with real impact.
What's involved?
Around six meetings per year: typically three in the evening (6pm) and three in the morning (11am)
Meetings last about an hour
Reading papers in advance and contributing to key decisions
Helping ensure the school is safe, well-led and focused on pupil success
