White Hall Academy are looking to employ an ELSA in this very busy and vibrant school. The ideal applicant will:
• Ideally have experience of working in a primary school
• Have the ELSA qualification or are willing to receive the appropriate training (This would include attending 6 days of ELSA training
• Able to support children's self-esteem, inclusion and behavioural development
• Are patient, calm, organised, resilient and adaptable
• Work well as part of a team
• Able to use their own initiative as well as take direction
• Are enthusiastic and have a positive outlook
• Have excellent communication skills
The role will be based on a 35 hour week - 8.15am to 4.15pm -with part-time applicants considered
In line with recommended practice in the statutory guidance "Keeping Children Safe in Education", the school will conduct searches for information onshortlisted candidateswhich is publicly available on-line. The purpose is limited:
· to identify issues which call into question the applicant's suitability to work with children.
· to verify employment history.

White Hall Academy is a large primary school at the heart of the local community. It is part of the Learning Pathways Academy Trust, which has partnership at the heart of its ethos. We are rated 'Good' by Ofsted and are now working towards 'Outstanding'. To help us achieve this we need exceptional staff.
