24.35 paid hours per week. Scale 3. Actual Annual Gross Salary inc outer fringe £14744.56 (subject to the 2025 LG Pay Award)
Join Our Team - Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
We are looking for a caring, professional, and positive individual to join our team and support our fantastic children with their learning and development.
Our LSAs play a vital role across the school, including in our Reception class, supporting both individual pupils and small groups. This post also includes lunchtime supervision and care, both outdoors and in the dining hall.

What We're Looking For:
- A high standard of English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent)
- Someone who is friendly, adaptable, approachable, and has a good sense of humour
- A willingness to work with children aged 4-11, including those with special educational needs
- A readiness to provide intimate care if required
- Availability to attend occasional after-school training sessions (in lieu of INSET days)
- A positive approach to supporting learning indoors and outdoors - come rain or shine!

West Horndon Primary School is a welcoming, warm and friendly one form entry local authority primary school. We are located just outside Brentwood in Essex. We also have a 20 pupil Enhanced Provision for children with speech and language difficulties.
