Contract type: Part-time, Permanent
Working hours:32.5 hours per week
Working weeks: 39 weeks (Term time plus non-pupil days)
Salary: Point Range 3-6 - Essex Local Goverment Pay Scale.
Start date:1st September 2025
The Epsilon Star Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an expericenced Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join Lubbins Park PrimarySchool and Nursery, based in Canvey Island, Essex.

The tasks of a specialist learning support assistant can be diverse, however typical responsibilities will include:
• To work under the guidance of the class teacher and Senior Leadership Team to support a small number of pupils with additional needs, primarily on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis. This role focuses on pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and low academic ability, including those with complex communication and sensory differences.
• Support will primarily involve tailored work in phonics, writing and maths, delivered in line with structured interventions such as Read Write Inc and other targeted programmes. Familiarity with TEACCH workstations, speech and language strategies, and sensory integration approaches is highly desirable.
