Part-time Outreach Provider
Pay Scale: Band D point 16 (approx. £17,200 actual)
22.5 hrs (3 days) per week - 45.8 wks per year (1 extra paid week after 5 years of service)
Required - 1 September 2025
Thurrock has a well-established Portage & Early Years Pathways of Support service that is registered with the National Portage Association, based at Treetops School.
Portage is a home visiting educational service for pre-school children (aged 0-5years) who have additional needs, delivering a quality service to children and families in their own homes, as well as pre-school settings.
We are looking to recruit a Portage Outreach Provider who will work as part of a team. If you are committed, enthusiastic, flexible, child and family centred with knowledge and experience of early childhood development and special educational needs, have excellent administrative writing skills with knowledge of word and excel, then this post could be for you. A key aspect of this post will be supporting early years settings in implementing portage principles to support children with social communication/ASD needs and assisting with the Early Support processes.
This is a term time only post for 3 days a week. It is essential that you hold a driving license and have use of your own car. Essential users' car allowance is available after a qualifying period.
