Oakfield Primary School is a thriving 2 form entry primary school located in Wickford, Essex. With a large field, dedicated outdoor learning area, and a spacious EYFS learning garden, our school provides an enriching learning environment for children to thrive. Equipped with an ICT suite and cooking area, we offer a well-rounded education that prepares our pupils for the future. On-site breakfast and afterschool clubs ensure that our families are well-supported.

This position would suit someone with previous experience of working with children preferably, but not essentially, in a school or nursery setting with additional needs. You must have good literacy and numeracy skills, a positive outlook and the ability to work flexibly.

In the SEND LSA role you will support children's learning under the direction of the class teacher. You will work predominantly 1:1 with a specific pupil but may also work with groups and individuals, lead small group interventions, assess children's progress and report to the class teacher. You may be expected to carry out some intimate care.

In the MDA role, you will work under the direction of the senior Midday Assistants. You will supervise children in the dining hall and on the playground, ensuring that children are safe and that behaviour policies are adhered to.
