Learning Support Assistant
Hours - 8:30am - 3pm (with a 20 minute unpaid lunch break) - 30 hours 50 minutes per week (term-time only)
Salary - £17,455 to £18,276 per annum (dependant upon experience)

Chapel Hill Priimary School & Nursery is based on the Westley Green development in Basildon (postcode SS16 5NQ) and opened its doors in September 2024. Due to an increase in pupil numbers, we are looking to appoint an experienced, caring, empathetic and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our fabulous Foundation Stage team. Duties will include supporting pupils in lessons, during swimming and PE, during break and lunchtimes and preparing teaching resources and displays.
The successful candidate will be:
- Enthusiastic and motivated to work with children with a variety of different personalities and skill levels.
- Energetic, with bags of enthusiasm; someone flexible who has a nurturing attitude and is solution-focussed.
- Able to consistently demonstrate the confidence and ability to manage children in a positive and friendly manner.
- Able to demonstrate sound maths and literacy skills (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths is essential).
- Experienced with regards to working with children in a learning environment, and supporting pupils with SEND.
- Able to use initiative, work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour.
- An excellent communicator, creative and passionate about helping children be the best they can be.
- Have experience within the Early Years / Primary phase.
- Be able to promote and foster pupil independence.
- Be smartly presented, with excellent time management skills.
