Preschool/Nursery Assistant Required

1.5 days per week:

  • Mondays - 8.30am to 11.30am (3 hours)
  • Tuesdays- 8.30am to 3.30pm - 30 minutes unpaid lunch (6.5 hours)

Total hours -9.5 hours per week

Term time only (38 weeks per year)

Pay Band - Scale 4 (points 7-8)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years professional?

St Peter's Church of England Primary School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

As a Preschool Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early years education and care. You will work closely with our experienced staff to create a stimulating and nurturing environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in planning, preparing, and implementing age-appropriate activities
  • Supporting children's learning and development, including literacy, numeracy, and social skills
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children
  • Working collaboratively with parents and carers
  • Adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Taking the lead in Speech & Language interventions

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working in an early years setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for working with young children
  • A positive and solution-focused attitude
  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification (preferred but not essential)
