Welfare and Attendance Officer
Start date: Immediate
Local Government Pay Scale Level 6 points range 13-20 : £28,163 - £31,586 pa fte
( £23,604 - £26,473 pro-rated actual pa )
37 hours per week / Term Time only
8.00 am - 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday / 8.00 am - 4.00 pm Friday
We are seeking to appoint a Welfare and Attendance officer to work with our children and families to encourage excellent attendance. This person would be key in helping to reduce any barriers to learning, enabling our young people to maximise their educational opportunities and potential.
Applicants must be friendly, enthusiastic and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must have a passion for working with young people and previous experience in a similar role.
Chase High School is a mixed, mainstream secondary school located in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. It educates more than 1,000 students aged 11-18 from over 40 countries. Chase High School was built more than 100 years ago and recently secured academy status under the Discovery Educational Trust. The secondary school continues to be involved in the community, forging local and international partnerships.
