Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am -3:15pm (30 minute lunch break)
Rate of Pay LSA: Scale 3 point 5-6
Rate of Pay MDA: Scale 2 point 3-4
Contract type: fixed term until 31st July 2026
Closing date: Sunday 22nd June 2025- midnight
Interviews: Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th June 2025
Contract start date: 1st September 2025
Oakfield Primary School is a thriving 2 form entry primary school located in Wickford, Essex. With a large field, dedicated outdoor learning area, and a spacious EYFS learning garden, our school provides an enriching learning environment for children to thrive. Equipped with an ICT suite and cooking area, we offer a well-rounded education that prepares our pupils for the future. On-site breakfast and afterschool clubs ensure that our families are well-supported.
We are looking for a keen and competent LSA and MDA. This position would suit someone with previous experience of working with children preferably, but not essentially, in a school or nursery setting. You must have good literacy and numeracy skills, a positive outlook and the ability to work flexibly.
In the LSA role you will support children's learning under the direction of the class teacher. You will work with groups and individuals, lead small group interventions, assess children's progress and report to the class teacher.
