Are you an experienced HR professional ready to make a real difference in the education sector? We're looking for a Senior Trust HR Officer to join our dynamic HR team and support our schools in providing excellent education for all.

In this vital role, you'll provide expert advice and guidance to line managers and headteachers, ensuring HR casework is handled with professionalism and care. You'll champion best practice, uphold statutory guidance, and ensure our Trust co-operative values shine through in everything we do. From supporting investigations and capability concerns to overseeing recruitment campaigns and payroll administration, you'll be at the heart of our people practices.

You'll also play a key role in supporting schools during Ofsted inspections - ensuring Single Central Records are accurate and up to date, and working closely with the HR Director to provide clear, robust documentation to inspectors.

What You'll Do:
✔️ Support schools with HR casework, including disciplinary, capability, and probation processes.
✔️ Be the first point of contact for HR queries, providing practical and proactive advice.
✔️ Support recruitment campaigns and national advertising, working closely with senior leaders.
✔️ Manage administrative HR tasks, including payroll input and new starter/leaver processes.
✔️ Minute HR meetings and maintain high-quality, confidential records.
✔️ Support Ofsted inspections by maintaining accurate Single Central Records.
✔️ Collaborate across our Trust to ensure fairness, consistency, and best practice.

What we're looking for in you:

  • A confident HR professional with experience in employee relations casework
  • A great communicator who can advise and support colleagues at all levels.
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and a passion for getting things right.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Committed to upholding the Trust's co-operative values and ensuring fairness and consistency.

 Why Join Us?

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Trust HR Officer with excellent interpersonal skills who has a wealth of advisory experience, preferably in the education sector. You will work within the Trust Central Human Resources (HR) Team where there will be an element of working from home (2-days per week).

Why join us?

  • Hybrid working - working two days from home each week!
  • Trust-issued laptop to support your work-from-home days.
  • Continuous professional development to support your career growth.
  • Access to the Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support.
  • Automatic enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Recognition of continuous service
