Pastoral Support HLTA required: September 2025

Monday - Friday, 10am-2pm, 20 hours term-time only.
Salary: £11,909 - £12,497 (actual salary) depending on experience and current pay point.

We are looking for an inspirational and experienced practitioner to become our Pastoral Support HLTA, working as part of the pastoral team under direction of the SENCo, in order to support children's wellbeing. The successful candidate will work with pupils individually or in small groups to support social, emotional and mental health needs. This will involve planning and executing nurture provision, including encouraging and promoting pro-social interaction during children's break and lunch times.

Whilst relevant training will be provided, ideally candidates will have experience of (and ideally qualifications in) some of these areas:

  • Thrive/ELSA Practitioner training
  • Attachment Awareness training
  • Musical Communication training
  • Working with Lego training
  • Mental Health First Aid training
  • Drawing and Talking Therapy
  • Bereavement support for pupils and families
  • Trauma Perceptive Practice
