We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Science to lead our Science Department and drive academic excellence within our successful Science department. Our Science department currently consists of 4 full-time and 1 part-time teachers.

As Head of Science, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the Science Department, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Developing and implementing an engaging and challenging curriculum that meets national standards.
  • Supporting and mentoring a team of dedicated science teachers.
  • Promoting a culture of high expectations and continuous professional development.
  • Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise achievement.
  • Collaborating with school leadership to contribute to whole-school initiatives.

Who/what is Thorpe Hall School looking for?

  • A qualified teacher with QTS and significant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
