We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and caring applicants to join our Holiday Club team during the School Holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and engage children in a variety of play activities, including arts & crafts, sensory play, Stem activities, games, den building, and a variety of sports.
  • Supervise children to always ensure their safety and well-being
  • The successful candidates will be aware of Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with a friendly team of childcare professionals
  • An understanding of relevant administration procedures including child registration requirements
  • Good Literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A good understanding of equal opportunities.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can explore, learn, and have fun
  • Assist with setting up and tidying away activities and equipment
  • Ensure all activities adhere to health and safety guidelines
  • Serve healthy meals and snacks (training provided)
  • Build positive relationships with parents and provide feedback during pickup times
  • Engage and supervise children with activities indoors and outdoors daily.

Requirements:

  • Level 1/2 qualification or above in Play work, Childcare, or a related field
  • Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or play setting
  • Paediatric first Aid Trained (desirable although not compulsory)
  • Food Hygiene certificate (desirable although not compulsory)
  • Friendly, energetic, and approachable with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to create a fun and stimulating environment for children
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting children's play

Information about the School

Nurture Den is a Holiday Club for children aged 5-14 located in the village of Boreham, Chelmsford. Our holiday club operates from 8:30am -5:30 pm. We offer flexible full and Part time positions during the School Holidays. We provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment during school half terms and summer holiday, ensuring all children have an enjoyable time while parents can focus on work or extra -curricular activities. We offer a wide variety of activities, sports, and creative sessions.
