Learning Support Assistant with MDA Duties

Lawford Mead Primary & Nursery School is seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant, initially based in Year 1. The person appointed will also supervise and support pupils on the playground during part of the lunchtime break. Lawford Mead Primary & Nursery School opened in 2015 and became an academy in 2017. The school received a Good judgement from Ofsted in 2020. Ofsted visited again in March 2025 and provided a glowing report, stating that the school has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection. In recent years the school has trained staff in Trauma Perceptive Practice, the ELKLAN approach to speech & language, and neurodiversity awareness. The school using the Essential Letters & Sounds (ELS) phonics scheme.

Salary and hours:

Term time only plus INSET days. Mondays to Thursdays 8.45-3.15, Fridays 8.45 to 1.15.
LSA Scale 3/4 - Points 5-8 - £24,790- £25,992 salary range (Actual £15,365 to £16,110 for 26 hours 45 min).
