St Francis Catholic Primary School is a one form entry primary school with a strong Catholic ethos in the centre of Braintree town. We are seeking an exceptional Classroom Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2025. This is a rare and fantastic opportunity for a flexible and enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact on the lives of our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote a love of learning
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all children, including those with special educational needs or high ability
- Effectively use assessment to monitor progress, set targets, and plan subsequent lessons
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment, managing behaviour effectively
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school, building positive relationships with colleagues and parents
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Commitment to promoting the Catholic ethos of the school
- Experience teaching in a primary school setting or recently qualified primary teacher
- Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience supporting other teachers or leading a subject area
- Passion for extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities
Salary: Main Scale and UPS
