If so, we are looking for a Reading Development Manager to join our forward-thinking team. Experience is preferred, but training can be offered for the right candidate.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Reading Development Manager who will enjoy working in a school that values and delivers excellent professional development. The successful candidate will be capable of inspiring students through their involvement with pastoral support and have a firm belief in the potential of all students.
The Reading Development Manager plays a central role in supporting the school's 3-tiered Reading strategy by overseeing the administration of key reading intervention programmes, managing the Learning Resource Centre, and helping to cultivate a culture of reading for pleasure across the school. Working closely with the Deputy Headteacher responsible for reading, the Reading Development Team, and the SEN department, the postholder will help ensure that all students-particularly those who need additional support, are engaged and readily progressing in their reading.
Duties will include:
· Providing administrative and practical support for the delivery of Lexia, Thinking Reading, Accelerated Reader and the phonics programme (Essential Letters and Sounds - ELS)
· Monitoring student engagement and progress across programmes and maintain accurate data records
· Supporting staff with the scheduling and delivery of reading interventions
· Overseeing the day-to day running of the LRC
· Conducting one-to one or small group interventions with students to support reading development.
· Managing a small budget ensuring effective use of funds.
