Queen Boudica Primary School is a thriving and successful two-form entry primary school situated on the north side of Colchester. We offer modern, well-resourced learning environments and our pupils are well mannered, dynamic and motivated to learn.
We are delighted that our most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2023) confirmed our good provision and recognised that 'pupils love coming to school. Pupils feel safe and thrive in this welcoming and nurturing school. Teachers say they are able to manage their workload well. Behaviour is exemplary and bullying is exceptionally rare.'
Our staff are kind, hardworking and committed: they plan together and support each other in year group and phase teams. We also have a superb team of support staff who run a range of interventions as well as providing general classroom support. We are connected to local English and Maths hub groups as well as having participated in the Open University's Reading for Pleasure platform, and aim to provide an excellent education for our pupils whilst maintaining a calm and caring atmosphere in which to learn. We place great value on kindness and compassion, and treat all our children and their families accordingly.
Governors are seeking to appoint a positive and successful practitioner whose enthusiasm will pervade across all aspects of their practice. We hope that you will have a passion for teaching and learning, and possess the skills and ability to make a positive difference to our pupils and their families. A child-centred approach and the ability to empathise with pupils' emotional needs are essential. Since opening in 2009, the school has expanded twice and is now full with a capacity of 420 pupils. We offer modern, well resourced learning environments and our pupils are well mannered, dynamic and motivated to learn.
