Job Title: After School Club Supervisor
Responsible to: Headteacher
Salary Grade Range: NJC Point 2
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - 3.15pm - 5.30pm
2 hours and 15 minutes per day (2.25)
Totalling 11 hours and 15 minutes per week (11.25)
Job share and part time considered
Weeks Worked: Term time only

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School are seeking to recruit an After School Supervisor to organise and manage after school activities for children attending the Club.
We are looking for a person who -
· Is patient and calm
· Is friendly and personable with all members of the school community, and has a good sense of humour
· Has good organistion skills and can manage time effectively
· Has the best interests of the pupils at the heart of the work that they do

We are a Catholic School but applications are equally welcome from non-Catholics who support our Catholic ethos.
Job Purpose
To organise after school activities for all children on school premises attending the After School Club, plus any other duties that can be reasonably asked of them under the direction of the Headteacher.
Duties
To assist children in play activities and to ensure they play appropriately.
To clear games apparatus when finished and monitor use.
To prepare and serve snacks to children
To clear away when finished
To maintain good order and discipline among pupils, with particular reference to health and safety
To enforce the necessary sanctions for maintaining good order.
Provide pastoral care guidance and advice to pupils as appropriate.
To alert the headteacher about any concerns regarding an individual child.
To participate in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identification of learning, development and training opportunities in discussion with line manager.
To comply with individual responsibilities, in accordance with the role, for health & safety in the workplace
Ensure that all duties and services provided are in accordance with the School's Equal Opportunities Policy
The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
To complete a Hygiene certificate training and any other relevant training
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with children
Has basic first aid knowledge
Has basic reading, writing and numeracy skills
Has strong communication skills
Is able to work well as part of a team
Has good organisational skills
Has basic knowledge on the following: GDPR, child protection, health and safety and equalities.
