Market Field College in Clacton-on-Sea provides education for a range of students with moderate learning difficulties, including those with autistic spectrum needs, between the ages of 16 - 19. The College offers a range of vocational learning courses and provides, in safe, structured yet stimulating environment, opportunities for young people to develop their independence and employability skills. We have a strong team of dedicated staff and supportive leadership.

We are looking for an EHCP and Student Welfare Coordinator. (32.5HPW)

The Student Welfare Coordinator plays a crucial role in promoting the safety, well-being, and overall welfare of all students. Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Pastoral Team, and Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) team, the post holder will be responsible for managing lower-level safeguarding concerns, acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), and ensuring robust safeguarding practices are embedded across the institution. The role also encompasses responsibilities related to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), such as overseeing the consult and banding process, managing annual reviews, and monitoring EHCP provision. The role involves direct support for students, families, and staff, as well as contributing to the strategic development and implementation of welfare and safeguarding policies and procedures.

Please note that this position is a full-year appointment, not term-time only or pro-rata.
