Castledon Special School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant
Part time hours of 32.50 per week, 38 weeks per year (term time)
8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday
NJC Scale 4 - point 7-8 (FTE £25,584 - £25,992) (actual gross salary £19,310 - £19,609)
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team, working to support special needs children aged 5-19 years covering a whole range of needs including ASD.
We are looking for someone who is:
- resilient, confident and patient
- comfortable & flexible to work across all key stages and a variety of classes
- is able to remain positive and work as part of a team
- is able to work with pupils who at times display challenging behaviours
- someone who has a good understanding of pupils with complex needs
- someone who has a valid driving licence and is willing to take a minibus test
- willing to undertake training to assist with personal care and medical needs
