The Catering Operations Manager and the CEO of Southend East Community Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join the Catering team. The post holder will be responsible for providing a friendly and efficient catering service. This may include the handling of all foods within the catering section and the preparation of dishes/food items for service.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within an educational setting or within a commercial kitchen. A certificate in Food Hygiene and Safety and knowledge of Safeguarding are desirable.

The Trust Head Office is at SECAT House, which is in the grounds of Thorpedene Primary School, one of the 6 schools in our Trust. The Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Executive Assistant all operate from SECAT House.
The Central Finance Team, ICT Team, Estates Team and HR Team are all based in schools within the MAT, as is the Director of Education.
