Position: Learning Support Assistant

Grade of pay: Scale 3 Points 5-6 (£24,790 - £25,183 full time equivalent)

Contract Term: Fixed Term to 20th July 2026

Start date: Tuesday 22nd April 2025. We appreciate that the successful candidate may have to give notice and we can work around this.

Contracted hours - 15 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 9am - 12pm.

A vacancy has arisen within our primary school for an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team.

We are looking to appoint a person who can use their own initiative and has a firm understanding of inclusion. Experience of working with children is desirable, however for the right candidate we would be prepared to offer support and training. The role will involve working with children in whole class setting, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis with children with SEND.

You will:

- Be an excellent communicator dedicated to bringing out the best in our children

- Be good at problem solving, open minded and willing to try new strategies

- Demonstrate positive consistent behaviour management

- Be interested in learning and developing.
