Learning Support Assistant to work term-time including non-pupil days. (39 weeks).
20 hours per week - Hours 8.30am to 12.30pm
Fixed Term Contract until July 2025.
Braiswick Primary School is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support children with SEMH in the mornings in the classroom setting.
You will need to work alongside the Class Teacher, SENCo and family to provide effective and nurturing support, guidance and enhance the personal development of our pupils.
You will be required to carry out a personalised curriculum, necessary intervientions and offer lunchtime support. Training from relevant stakeholders will be provided.
The ideal candidate will:
have a good understanding of Safeguarding and Welfare.
be able to communicate effectively and build good relationships with children, families and colleagues.
have proven experience of supporting children with SEMH in a mainstream setting.
be able to take direction from a range of stakeholders and be adaptable in your approach.
have a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs and the commitment that children are a the centre of everything you do.
Be inclusive.
It would be beneficial to have some knowledge of TPP (Trauma Perceptive Practice).
