Teacher of Humanities - with opportunity for TLR2C as Lead Teacher

(Suitable for Early Career Teachers or more experienced teachers)

Potential for TLR as Lead Teacher for Humanities (TLR2C - £3,391 p.a.) for the right candidate

Pay Range: Teachers Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Scale

Actual Salary from: £31,650 to £49,084 per year

Start Date: April, July or September 2025 (April preferred)

The Role

Harwich and Dovercourt High School seeks a passionate and dynamic Teacher of Humanities to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be either a History or Geography specialist, with the opportunity to take on a leadership role as Lead Teacher, driving the development of teaching and learning within the faculty.

As part of our dedicated Humanities department, you will work closely with the Trust's Strategic Lead for Humanities, who is based at the school. This collaborative relationship will provide you with invaluable support and professional development, empowering you to make a significant impact on the quality of education our students receive. We are looking for a forward-thinking educator who is committed to fostering a love of the humanities and supporting students in reaching their full potential.

As a Teacher, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Teach your subject with enthusiasm
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Assess and provide feedback
  • Provide care, guidance and support to our young people.
  • Work as a member of a team

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both adults and children;
