Salary: Gross per annum £23,809.50 (Pro rota take home per annum £20,421.23) based on 37.5 hours a week
Job Type: Full-time / permanent - TTO (term-time only)

MAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES
You will be expected to work across the organisation in Education, Mentoring and Thrive Provision.
• Facilitate sessions using plans that are provided
• Write half termly reports
• Deliver a therapeutic approach to promote and reinforce pupil self-esteem through praise and encouragement and exploration.
• Be sensitive to the welfare and care of the pupils emotional well-being.
• Develop pupils' regulation strategies.
• Use a range of strategies and resources to provide a purposeful session which develops positive attitudes, values and behaviour alongside offering learning opportunities.
• Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with children/young people, parents/carers, staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils.
• Any other duties required by SLT
• Effectively safeguard children, young people, colleagues and yourself

KEY ORGANISATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The post holder will contribute to Reach's objectives in service delivery by, always:

• Ensuring compliance with Data Protection Legislation
• Operating within the REACH's Equal Opportunities framework
• Committing to and contributing to improving standards for pupils as appropriate
• Acknowledging customer care and quality initiatives
• Contributing to the maintenance of a caring and stimulating environment for pupils

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
The post holder must:
• Have a sound working knowledge of Child Protection issues and the need for confidentiality and identify to the named Child Protection colleague in REACH any concerns in respect of individual children.
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to Child Protection, Health and Safety and Security, Confidentiality and Data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate named person.
• Support the protocols and systems that are in place to address the needs of children with or any child in need as defined in the Children's Act
• Ensure Safeguarding Procedures and the Common Assessment Framework are in place, are understood and are implemented within REACH
• Ensure Child Protection procedures and processes are followed throughout REACH

EFFECTIVE DEPLOYMENT OF STAFF AND RESOURCES
• Maintain and develop resources, co-ordinating their development and monitor their effectiveness in meeting the objectives of REACH and SEND policies

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEND - Essential
• Excellent written communication, timekeeping, reliability, and timely reporting - Essential
• Hold a full UK driving licence - Essential
• Thrive practitioner or experience of trauma informed practice - Desirable
• HLTA qualification - Desirable
• Experience with mentoring - Desirable
• Creative Practitioner equipped to deal with pupils who may have disengaged from mainstream schooling - Desirable
• Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions - Desirable
