SEAX Trust now has a very exciting opportunity to appoint a Chief Financial & Operations Officer-a brand new position within the Trust!

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make the role their own, leading the operational staff within the Trust's Executive Team and shaping the vision for operations cross-Trust. They will work to support our schools, Trustees and the CEO in terms of the Trust's next steps for strategic financial and operational development. This is an exciting time for SEAX, as our brand new provision, The Hawthorns School moves into its permanent building in Chelmsford and the Trust looks forward to welcoming more schools in this phase of growth.

Although the role will be based in Brentwood, attracting Fringe Area Allowance, flexible working is very much supported at SEAX and there will be an opportunity to request home-working and/or to work from another of our schools in Chelmsford or Colchester, if more convenient. The successful candidate will visit all of our schools regularly and there will also be a requirement to attend meetings at the Central Team Office from time to time.

Salary is negotiable for the right person and we would very much like to hear from you if you feel youcould be the person we're looking for. Full details are set out in the Candidate Pack attached and if you have any questions, you are welcome to telephone Kate Stannard, Director of HR, on 01245 963006.

Information about the School

Established in 2015, the SEAX Trust is a growing partnership of five Special School Academies within the community of Essex. We are a Trust which:

• puts no limits on what we believe young people can achieve - creating opportunities and meeting individual needs so that our young people can live rich and fulfilled lives;

• values our staff and is committed to providing an environment which creates opportunities for professional growth and development;

• has the courage and drive to challenge and champion change to enable equal opportunity and equity for all;

• influences, respects, listens and acts and which, in turn, is known as a voice to listen to, act upon and respect.

We consider the main asset towards achieving our vision is our body of highly-valued staff and, in recognition, we implement a wide range of strategic and person-centered reward practices across all of our Academies and within the Trust's Executive Team itself.

Working in special education is extremely rewarding, supportive and motivational and most roles require little or no prior experience. If you haven't considered a role in a special school before now, then working within SEAX Trust will not only enhance your professional development, but also your self-confidence and belief that what you are doing each day truly is making a difference to our young people's lives.

SEAX Trust is a Disability Confident Employer.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
