Teacher of PE

Salary: Teachers Main Scale/Upper Pay Scale
(£33,074 - £50,470 per annum)

100% FTE

Start Date: January/April 2025

It is an exciting time to join the team at Brentwood County High School. With a new building that opened in February 2024 and a new vision for the school, it is the perfect time to join our journey. 

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our successful PE Department. We are very proud of how we value and look after our staff. The school is a part of the Osborne Co-operative Academy, where staff wellbeing is a priority. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to teach PE across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 and will be creative, innovative, efficient and committed to raising standards. They will have excellent subject knowledge and will be joining a highly motivated team of superbly collaborative teachers committed to a creative and stimulating approach to teaching and learning, and to instilling a passion for sport in our students. 

Applications from teachers at any stage in their career are welcome: teachers with the ambition to train to become Lead Practitioners; Early Career Teachers; or experienced unqualified teachers who are prepared to train to gain qualified teacher status.  

In February 2024, we were excited to open the final stage of our £27 million DFE heritage building project. This has provided new state-of-the-art learning environments, and fantastic new sporting facilities, including a sports hall, gym, 3G pitch, and netball court.

BCHS is located in the heart of Brentwood, near the town centre, a short distance from the train station, which is 25 minutes from Liverpool Street Station. The school also includes a large sixth form campus and achievements at KS5 have been a key strength at BCHS. 
Parking is available on-site and there are good transport links by both rail and bus. BCHS is just over two miles from the M25.
