Due to the retirement of the current headteacher, the governing body are looking to appoint an experienced leader with a good track record of school leadership, who will focus, sharply, upon maintaining and developing an exciting curriculum, which promotes high standards of attainment. We welcome applications from serving headteachers as well as deputy headteachers

Hazelmere Junior School is a dynamic school where our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. We were pleased to maintain our Good OFSTED rating in September 2022.

The school is in a sound financial position, providing the successful applicant with a solid base upon which to lead the school over the coming years.

We have in the region of 50% of pupils who are eligible for pupil premium and are working hard to close the attainment gap for disadvantaged pupils.

We are looking for a Headteacher who will:

  • have a desire to build on the school's achievements to date
  • have a clear vision which is in line with the school's values, and the ability to communicate this to all stakeholders, encouraging an agreed common purpose
  • have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to inspire, motivate and support the teaching and support staff to deliver their best
