Pupils Admin Assistant

37 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8.00/8.30 to 4.00/4.30

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our office team at St Andrews. We are looking for someone with initiative and enthusiasm, who is flexible and can manage priorities in a busy office environment. The successful candidate must possess good communication skills, a working knowledge of word and excel. School office experience is highly desirable.

The range of duties, include:

Pupils

· Responsible for monitoring the attendance of the pupils, which includes dealing with all absence emails, telephone calls and late arrivals every day.

· Responsible for all school admissions

· Assist with holiday requests, penalty notices, appeals etc.

· Complete and monitor the nursery funding and FMS eligibility for pupils

· Responsible for cool milk

Admin

· To support the office team as a point of contact for both telephone and face to face enquiries and take messages where appropriate

· To compile the school registers for breakfast and after school club

· Receive and check volunteer forms

· To undertake general clerical support as required

· To ensure school security arrangements are always complied with, ensuring all visitors use the signing in computer

· To accept and sign for deliveries as appropriate

Welfare

· To administer first aid to pupils as required, in keeping with the school's policy.

· To liaise with parents regarding pupil sickness/injury

· To assist with the general welfare of pupils

Information about the School

Dear Candidate Thank you for your interest in the position in our school.

St Andrew’s CE Primary School is situated in the village of North Weald, close to Epping. There are currently 361 pupils, age 4 – 11 years on roll plus a pre-school with 16 places for 3 to 4 year olds. The majority of our pupils live in the village of North Weald.

Class teachers are supported by a very experienced team of Learning Support Assistants, and HLTAs who also take on additional responsibilities within the school. We have an experienced SEND team who provide invaluable support for our children.

At St Andrews we are very proud of our inclusive, Christian ethos. We Believe in Friendship, Inspire Courage and Achieve Confidence.

Our last Ofsted inspection, in July 2023, judged our school as continuing to be Good in all areas. Whilst our website is very informative and will give you a flavour of our school, I would welcome visits to see the school in action.
