Great Tey CE Primary School has an exciting opporunity to join our team as class teacher to our Y5/6 class for 2 days a week, Monday and Tuesday. Our recent Ofsted inspection said the school is a 'welcoming school' that children 'enjoy attending' and where they 'live and breathe the school's values through their daily actions.' We are looking for a teacher who can further strengthen our team, bringing a commitment to the development of every child and a knowledge and understanding of how children learn best. We are looking for someone with experience of supporting children with additional needs, ideally someone who has experience of teaching children with Autism, through training can be provided if you are the right candidate but have not yet had experience in this. As a small school, while we are a close and supportive team, you will need to feel confident to plan your own lessons across two age groups, with support from programmes such as Cornerstones, White Rose Maths and Teach Computing.
We can offer:
- a school where pupils 'behave well throughout the school day. They show kindness and compassiontowards each other and adults. They also show high levels of respect.' (Ofsted March 2024).
- a friendly, supportive team where everyone works hard to gain the best for all of our pupils
- excellent CPD and opportunities to work with other schools through Tiptree and Stanway Consortium
- a village school with fantastic grounds including a much-loved woodland area
- supportive parents and a supportive school community
- a Christian ethos, firmly based in our school values and vision
Visits are warmly welcomed and encouraged - please contact the School Office and talk to Victoria Brummitt or Purdie Dyer on 01206 210415 to arrange a time.
