Position: AdministrationAssistant - Part Time, Fixed term until 31/08/2025
Pay Range: Scale 3
Position Start Date: Immediate - subject to checks
Contract Type: Fixed term, Monday to Friday 9 am - 12:30 pm
(17.5 hours a week, gross pay per annum approx £9929.47)
The Alderton Infant School and Nursery is a successful and friendly school situated in Loughton, Essex. We are a member of the Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust which was formed in 2018 and work collaboratively with the other schools in our academy. We are a two-form entry school for pupils between the ages of 3 and 7 years.
Are you keen to be part of our wonderful team? The headteacher and Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly efficient and organised Administration Assistant to work in our School office.
There is never a dull moment at our school so duties are various and include dealing with reception and telephone enquiries, first aid, personal care for children, word processing, inputting pupil data, managing attendance data and email communications.
The successful candidate will need to:
- be professional, personable, calm and articulate
- have excellent face-to-face and telephone "people" skills, as they will be the front line to meet and greet numerous visitors, children and families
- be highly discreet when dealing with issues of a confidential nature
- be a team player and can use their initiative
- be able to meet deadlines and multi-task
- maintain a "can do" positive attitude, flexibility and adaptability
- have the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Administer basic first aid as required and report accidents
- Enjoy working with children and have good communication skills

We are part of The Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust of fifteen Primary and one Special School all based in the Epping Forest District. Along with our SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training), School Improvement Team, Well-being Service and Resourced Provisions based in three of our schools, we are a leading educational organisation in Epping Forest.
