It is an exciting time at Becket Keys Church of England School (Outstanding, 2014). We are working hard to build upon the exam successes of our founding cohorts, whilst also establishing our 6th Form into its seventh year. With achievement levels in Science at an all-time high and more and more of our students choosing Science A levels, we are looking to strengthen our department in all areas to continue our success into the future.
We are seeking a suitably qualified colleague to join our team for the rest of this year in the first instance. It is envisaged that the person appointed will be enthusiastic about Science and able to get on well with people. This position would suit someone who is looking to return to teaching after a career a break or someone who has been looking for 'the right school to come along'.
This post is an important appointment to cover a Maternity Leave absence in our Science department. The teacher who requires cover does not have any exam classes this year and is teaching KS3 classes. On that basis, no particular Science specialism is required.
If you would like to discuss further, take a tour of the school or come for a day - you would be very welcome.
We reserve the right to close advertisements early. Advertisements will therefore close at 12 noon, either on the advertised closing date, or the day the decision has been taken to close the advertisement early.
The appointee will be committed to our high expectations and core values - we welcome applications from teachers irrespective of their faith or belief. However, we ask for applicants to appreciate and respect the beliefs of others and have strong moral principles.
The successful teacher will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme and laptop, childcare vouchers are available, and childcare is available at a neighbouring provision with discounted rates for staff members.
