The Gateway Academy is part of the Gateway Learning Community (GLC), a partnership of one secondary academy and four primary academies located in Tilbury, within the borough of Thurrock, east of London. We are a vibrant, innovative, and highly successful secondary academy: the place of choice for work and learning.

We are currently seeking a Deputy Director of English to support our exceptional English faculty and play a key role in ensuring that the subject continues to go from strength to strength. Currently, students in English are performing above the national average in both attainment and progress.

The successful candidate will be passionate about education for all students, regardless of their background, and, above all, will be an inspirational practitioner.
