SEN Learning Support Assistant 1:1
September 2024 Start
30 hours per week - 6 hours per day (one role or a job share will be considered)
43.5 to 44.1 paid weeks depending on experience (£15,896.65 - £16,385.43)
We have a wonderful opportunity for you to join our incredible two form entry primary school based in North Essex. We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our amazing team and work specifically with a 1:1 pupil in our school. Initially based in Year 2 this role will enable you to work through the school with this child across all the year groups in time. The school would consider this role being shared as a part time job share either mornings, afternoons or a split week. Please contact us to discuss options.

Key responsibilities:
- support the class teacher in fostering positive relationships with pupils, especially the designated pupil with 1:1
- support pupils with their learning, enabling them to be the best version of themselves
- work with the teacher and SENCo to deliver the one plan/EHCP for pupils with additional needs within the class and learning environment
- work alongside all staff to uphold the vision and values of the school
- implement school policies such as behaviour and inclusion to maintain the standards set within our school
- work alongside the SENCO to liaise with parents/carers of the 1:1 pupil

Key requirements for the role
- experience with working with primary aged pupils preferred
- an understanding of pupils with autism and additional needs preferred
- commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team
- able to follow direction and school policies
- passionate about supporting all pupils in developing their knowledge, skills and character
- work closely with the leadership team and school SENCO to support our most vulnerable pupils
