ROBUS Multi-Academy Trust / Governance Professional
Position Start Date: July 2024
Contract type: Part-time (up to 15 hours per week)

Workplace: Flexible (remote/home-based with travel to academies as required)
ROBUS Multi-Academy Trust is a small, strong trust formed of four local primary schools in the Benfleet/Thundersley area in Essex; Kingston Primary School, Montgomerie Primary School, Thundersley Primary School, and Woodham Ley Primary School. A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen and we are looking to appoint an experienced, proactive, and proficient Governance Professional with the ability to advise our Boards on governance legislation and procedural matters.
The successful candidate will have:
The ability to proactively identify and manage governance issues within a regulated environment
Experience of working within a governance role, ideally within an education or public sector environment
A willingness to work closely with senior Trust executives and governance volunteers, with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage competing priorities
Strong organisational skills, working with accuracy and attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting and recording of governance information
Demonstrable skills in the preparation of accurate minutes and proof-reading documentation for a variety of stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
Excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, and show initiative and commitment to improving and developing their own practice
This is a part-time role with flexibility about the number of hours worked across the academic year. There is a regular requirement for evening work (approximately 6 evenings per term) due to the meeting cycle.
