Learning Support Assistant Vacancy
Broomfield Primary School
Permanent Part Time hours: 28 hours per week - term time only
Salary: Scale 3 - 6 - To be determined according to relevant experience
Working Hours: 8:40am - 3:10pm 4 days per week (flexible)
Broomfield Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant, with expertise in Speech and Language, to our hard working and dedicated school team. We are looking for a professional to support pupils with their language acquisition in EYFS and KS1. The post also includes lunchtime supervision. Candidates will need to demonstrate previous experience in working with children with SEND in either EYFS/KS1 or KS2, or across the primary age range.
The successful candidates will possess:
· a high standard of English and Maths skills
· to have proven expertise and experience in teaching and assessing children with speech and language difficulties
· to be able to demonstrate experience of offering advice, support and training to staff and parents
· to have knowledge and experience in writing and reviewing One Plans and reports for Annual Reviews
· the ability to interact successfully with pupils
· the ability to inspire and motivate
· evidence of collaborative working with a range of professionals and parents
· high expectations of both themselves and others
· effective behaviour management strategies
· an understanding of the factors that impact on a child's emotional well-being.
